Welcome to BreMap

BreMap is a free web-based tool to assist users to:

Locate the nearest most suitable waste management site in order to reduce transport of waste.
Find the nearest recycling sites, reclamation companies, composting facilities, manufacturer take-back schemes, transfer stations and landfill sites.
Find local reclaimed and recycled products and equipment for recycling and reprocessing.

BreMap has now been upgraded to:

Make searching BreMap easier by showing the search criteria and map results on the same page and allowing searching by postcode, county or town.
Show route maps from a user's location to selected search results.
Allow companies registered on BreMap to build a more detailed profile of services and materials they provide.

The system was developed by BRE and originally funded by Biffaward through landfill tax credits and a donation from the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) R&D Enabling Fund.

We recommend that you check if a waste management facility or a company transporting your waste has the appropriate license in place. This can be done via the Environment Agency’s website in England and Wales or via the SEPA website in Scotland.
